The October module brings a new round of advanced content to MIOS Academy, with three guest lectures leading the way: managing the gap in mandibular osteotomies, treatment of the cervical contour and how far we should go, and surgical maxillary expansion. The highlight of the month is something different from everything published so far: a telescopic genioplasty recorded live at MIOS Meeting São Paulo, performed entirely with Mectron piezosurgery. Alongside it, the module covers surgical sequencing (mandible first vs. maxilla first), nerve management in mandibular advancement, an asymmetrical chin genioplasty, and a case discussion on facial asymmetry, completed by a commented article on controlling the vertical position of the maxilla. A module focused on osteotomy design, surgical strategy, and the management of asymmetry.
