Observerships are an exclusive benefit for active MIOS Academy members. If your subscription is current, every program on this map is open to you.
It depends on the program, but most cover the complete patient workflow: consultations, virtual surgical planning, live surgery and post-operative follow-up. The exact scope is listed on each faculty card.
Programs are observational by design. Several hosts allow scrub-in when the case, the institution and local regulations permit it. Each program card indicates whether scrub-in is available.
English is spoken across most programs, alongside the host's local language (Spanish or Portuguese in several destinations). The languages of each program are listed on its card.
Most observerships run about one week, and some hosts offer extended fellowships of up to twelve months. Fees vary by faculty and duration and are always listed on each program card.
